God’s Will for Your Financial Life

Rob West challenges us with the following question: Have you ever asked yourself "What is God’s will for my financial life?"

Thankfully, Paul gives us some insight into this question in 1 Timothy 6:17-18.

“Command those who are rich in this present world”—that would include most of us who live in 21st-century America. We are quite wealthy by historical standards—“Command [them not to] put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.”

Don’t put your hope in wealth but in God and use what He’s given you to do good and be generous. All the rest is just details.

God was a giver, and His will is for us to be givers as well—both of our time and our money!

In this season of hope and celebration of our Savior, may the joy of giving permeate our hearts and fulfill God’s will for our financial lives!
