Noted author Randy Alcorn shared an article last year at FaithFi.com addressing a key to generous giving, and that was to live simply.
As he points out in the attached article, we should live more simply and give more generously because 1) heaven is our home, 2) it frees us up and shifts our center of gravity, 3) we're God's pipeline, 4) there is a future reward in heaven and joy in the present, 5) there are dire spiritual needs in the world, and 6) the world has urgent physical needs.
